Ranch Manager Desktop Software Update

Important Note for Pocket Edition Users: If you have the pocket edition you must synchronize any changes you have made on your handheld device back into the desktop software prior to installing any updates (Use the Import Data from PDA action from the File menu). Once you have the desktop software update installed, you must also install the Pocket Edition update (see below). Once both updates have been installed, you should export your data back to your handheld device (Use the Export Data to PDA action from the File menu).

Your Ranch Manager update is ready for download. Follow the instructions below to update your copy of Ranch Manager.

• Click on the link provided below. This will start the download of the Ranch Manager Update. The download time should take less than 20 minutes on slow connections.
• Click on the Link for the edition of Ranch Manager you are updating: Cattle Edition | Sheep Edition | Goat Edition | Equine Edition | Wildlife Edition | Livestock Edition
• Depending on which operating system and browser you are using you may be asked a series of security related questions. Follow the instructions, but you will need to either save the file to your hard drive and then run it, or simply run it straight from the web.
• Once you have run the file, the Ranch Manager Updater will begin.
• Select the directory where you installed Ranch Manager. If you used the default, then do nothing.
• Click on the Unzip button
• Ranch Manager is now up to date! Click on the Close button to finish.

Ranch Manager Pocket Edition Update for Palm Device Users

Follow these instructions if you are runing the Pocket Edition on a Palm based device. If you have a Windows Mobile or Windows CE device follow the instructions from the next section.

• Click on the link provided below. This will start the download of the Ranch Manager Pocket Edition Update. The download time should take less than 20 minutes on slow connections.
• Click on the Link for the edition of Ranch Manager you are updating: Cattle Edition | Sheep Edition | Goat Edition | Equine Edition | Wildlife Edition | Livestock Edition
• Depending on which operating system and browser you are using you may be asked a series of security related questions. Follow the instructions, but you will need to either save the file to your hard drive and then run it, or simply run it straight from the web.
• Once you have run the file, the Ranch Manager Updater will begin.
• Select the directory where you installed Ranch Manager. If you used the default, then do nothing.
• Click on the Unzip button
• Click on the Close button to finish.
• Go to your Start Menu and select All Programs->Ranch Manager->Pocket Edition->Palm->Install Palm Conduit.
• A dialog will appear labeled Install for the RMPData application. Click on the Install button, followed by clicking OK
• For each of the Pocket Edition programs there will be a Folder under the Pocket Edition folder within Ranch Manager on the Start Menu.
• For each program that you have purchased follow the next two steps below. (EG: Cattle/Sheep/Goat/Equine/Wildlife)
• Go to your Start Menu and select All Programs->Ranch Manager->Pocket Edition->Palm->Livestock Folder->Install Palm Device Software.
• A dialog will appear labeled Install for the application. Click on the Install button, followed by clicking OK
• Send the new software to your device, by performing a HotSync operation.
• Ranch Manager Pocket Edition is now up to date!

Ranch Manager Pocket Edition Update for Windows Mobile Device Users

Follow these instructions if you are runing the Pocket Edition on a Windows Mobile based device.

• Click on the link provided below. This will start the download of the Ranch Manager Pocket Edition Update. The download time should take less than 20 minutes on slow connections.
• Click on the Link for the edition of Ranch Manager you are updating: Cattle Edition | Sheep Edition | Goat Edition | Equine Edition | Wildlife Edition | Livestock Edition

• NOTE: when perfoming the next step, if you are running Windows Vista, use the program that has the word "Vista" in it. (EG: "Install Windows Vista Conduit")
• Go to your Start Menu and select All Programs->Ranch Manager->Pocket Edition->Windows->Install Windows Conduit.
• A series of dialog boxes will appear, follow the onscreen instructions and indicate that you want to Overwrite or Update the existing application. The steps may vary slightly depending on your device.
• For each of the Pocket Edition program there will be a Folder under the Pocket Edition folder within Ranch Manager under the Start Menu.
• For each program that you have purchased follow the next two steps below. (EG: Cattle/Sheep/Goat/Equine/Wildlife)
• Go to your Start Menu and select All Programs->Ranch Manager->Pocket Edition->Windows->Livestock Folder->Install Windows Device Software.
